My Approach to Helping
You are not a failure. You are not “bad.” You have a right to your life, and you matter.
I believe we often are our own worst critics. Maybe we grew up in an environment where our feelings, wants, and needs were not taken seriously. Maybe we were saddled with the belief that being ourselves was somehow wrong. Maybe, after a lifetime of invalidation, we feel unable to measure up to what we think people expect from us, or we’ve set an unrealistically high bar. Without judgment or bias, I will help you reclaim the parts of yourself that have been silent or ignored. I will offer you space and compassion as you reclaim, rewrite, or tell your story for the first time. Everybody has a story, and I believe stories and what makes us “different” are what make us human.”
